    Pros

    Decent pay, good benefits. Could be fun and once your efficient its a pretty easy job. You become friends with those who come in.

    Cons

    Management push to only sell. Bonuses were based primarily on sales and you would lose it for not wanting to sale improperly.

    Advice to Management

    Dont push good employees away or overshadow them.

    There are a lot of oppotunities to move up or lateral.

    Cons

    Management is only concerned with their sales goals. Sales goals are still alive and well at Wells Fargo.

    Good place to learn about banking system. Busy and alive environment. Good benefits and many opportunities to grow fast.

    Cons

    Too sales oriented. Branch managers put too much pressure as i am sure they are pressured by district managers as well. Same topics over and over during meetings.

    I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The job is great when u have positve co worker and managers ... you get to learn a lot about ratail banking and grow fast within company as long as you're hitting your quarterly sales goal.

    Cons

    The worst thing about this job is they push you to offer banking products to the customers even when they don't need them. favoritism plays a lot to those who have great sales skill.. and the rest get put down too much.

    Advice to Management

    stop talking negatively to other tellers about they co workers , care more about customers not only numbers.

    I have been working at Wells Fargo part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible hours; they are always willing to adjust my schedule so I can fit my classes while in college.

    Cons

    Limited upward mobility. Haven't experienced it on my skin yet, but some find it difficult to move past the teller or personal banker position.

    Advice to Management

    Change the training practices. The facilitators sometimes sound rather unprofessional and speak to new tellers in training as if they are children. A more professional tone would be more appropriate.

    Pros

    Fun, dynamic work environment. Team is very encouraging and willing to help you succeed in your current role.

    Cons

    VERY high sales pressure. There is a very fine line between what is ethical and what is not. More times than not, the line is crossed.

    Advice to Management

    More management coaching. Management does not have the tools to properly manage team members. No strict requirements to become a manager.
