I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits, including a matching contribution 401(k) plan.

    Cons

Pay is poor in comparison to its competitors. Poor management in the mortgage division. Limited opportunities to advance in that area. Extremely sales-controlled. Very little concern with risk. Employees are very often disrespected by management.

    Advice to Management

    None. They won't listen anyway.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No sales goals.... for now. PTO/Vacation time and paid holidays off. They recently added a few more paid holidays to pur 2018 calender, which is awesome. That's about it.

    Cons

Good luck trying to advance and move up if you're not, for lack of a better term, an a** kisser. Management acts as if they care about your advancement, but in turn will literally give positions to "favorite " employees... when sales goals left, quality work went with it. If you aren't best friends with your manager, you'll be stuck in your position . Recruiters reach out to managers about employees who are looking to post out, so if your manager doesnt want to let you go.... you wont go anywhere. So while you think you're moving in the right direction, someone is always there to knock you back down. The pay could be better. Saturday hours.

    Advice to Management

Make sure all employees are treated fairly. Favoritism is loud and clear within this company. Hire management that can build, uplift and advance their team members. It's not fair to be held back in a position because your manager "can't afford.to lose you at the branch"

I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For the most part, a lot of my coworkers were easy to get along with and willing to help.

    Cons

The company has a horrible way of choosing who belongs in management and upper management. They claim everyone is a team memeber but do not extend opportunities to help those “team members” grow within the company. The more you extend yourself to help and the better you are at your position, the more you get taken advantage of and held back from movin on because they can’t afford to lose you in that position. They do not compensate properly for the amount of work they request of you, nor do they treat you properly. The most stressful job i’ve ever had, based solely on the company’s standards and horrid management.

    Advice to Management

Pick people who are actually qualified to work management position. Stop hiring based on personal relationships and start hiring based on the work ethic. The team members are only as good as the people that they work under.

    Pros

Pros: benefits, nice people to work with.

    Cons

Poor management, not team oriented as they claim to be. Never worked for a bank before and it seemed that a bank that merged so many times made it so difficult, systems not interfacing correctly. Making very difficult to perform your job.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I worked at this company for 7+ Years. What I liked most about the company were the people I directly interacted with on a daily basis. Everyone was genuine and cared about eachother. Good benefits and salary. Supportive management.

    Cons

Large corporation with a lot of government regulation. Public company driven to please it shareholders. Loses sight of the importance of its team members.

    Advice to Management

Too much focus on new client acquisitions and cross selling. We are required to work with Product Partners, many of whom are unimpressive or the product area is irrelevant.
