I worked at Wells Fargo for more than 10 years

    Pros

Nice environment, up-to-date software, professional employees, are very accommodating to disabilities

    Cons

18 month contractor rule, inability to share personal items between work & home (personal electronic timesheet, professional notes on software tool tricks acquired from other contracts, etc)

    Advice to Management

Be more personal to contractors, afterall in most situations they are the people doing the work!

I have been working at Wells Fargo for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good benefits and a good place to get experience if your first starting off in the banking industry to gain experience. The pay was okay, but the yearly reviews are a joke. I would receive .03% raise after busting my behind for a year.

    Cons

Hard to move up since there are tons of employees at Wells Fargo, many whom have vast amounts of years of experience on you. The only way to move up is stay there for along time and hope to get promoted or know someone (since company politics is widely prevalent).

I have been working at Wells Fargo for less than a year

    Pros

Minimal micromanagement and openness to new ideas

    Cons

Extremely disorganized with no clear direction or sense of leadership

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to what your employees, who is capable of what, who is actually getting their work done and who is just pretending to

I have been working at Wells Fargo for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible schedule, relaxed workload, reasonably low pressure environment as long as you have average communication skills

    Cons

There is a balance between using new technology, and understanding the commitment its going to take to utilize it. Everyone wants a shiny new toy, but takes a huge team to move the needle at a place as large as Wells

    Advice to Management

Talent retention is going to be hard with the lower than competitive salaries, however if you identify winners and keep them early, they will be less likely to start looking elsewhere and might help slow the retention problem.
