I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Always busy, never finding something to do.

    Cons

More people to report to than actually hired by. Everyone, including the clerical staff are demanding things from you. The place is run by minions that have no aspirations in life except to get to 4:30pm to leave. They don’t care about customers nor if we screw up their lives.

The something to do is typically an unproductive internal procedure that satisfies the need of a compliance or clerk.

    Advice to Management

Let bankers be bankers and management should help with getting deals done instead of making it a teaching moment

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Technology is second to none in the banking world. Comprehensive onboarding training and solid benefits.

    Cons

Although the pros listed above are pretty attractive, they lose all meaning when the company culture is unequivocally caustic. At all levels the culture is misogynistic, predatory (towards clients and employees), and at times, downright frightening. I have witnessed overt discrimination, harassment and bullying of women and minorities on a consistent basis. Unfortunately while Wells Fargo purports to have an anti-harassment and anti-retaliation policy, it is well known that reporting these incidents is career suicide, even for those not involved. Subsequently it has created an environment so toxic that it has given me no choice but to seek employment elsewhere.

I came to Wells Fargo from a different bank to work with the elite in Banking and to grow my career. Unfortunately I would not recommend anyone subjecting themselves to this experience.

    Advice to Management

Hopefully this offers some additional awareness to the issues and behaviors that are so pervasive in this organization. Please see this as an opportunity for a complete overhaul of company culture.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Decent salary and good benefits.

    Cons

No ability to make local decisions, very difficult to find consistent information. You have to internally call a 1-800# for answers and can get a different answer every time you call, but you are responsible for whatever you tell a customer.

    Advice to Management

Be consistent. Stop doing every little thing, and start doing less but doing it better.

Rewarding company, that has great diversity, career development and is involved in the local community. Definitely has a corporate feel, but seems to care about employees.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I worked at this company for 7+ Years. What I liked most about the company were the people I directly interacted with on a daily basis. Everyone was genuine and cared about eachother. Good benefits and salary. Supportive management.

    Cons

Large corporation with a lot of government regulation. Public company driven to please it shareholders. Loses sight of the importance of its team members.

    Advice to Management

Too much focus on new client acquisitions and cross selling. We are required to work with Product Partners, many of whom are unimpressive or the product area is irrelevant.
