I have been working at Wells Fargo as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Coworkers are smart and friendly.

    Cons

Over processed, takes a long time to do anything and lots of duplicate documentation. Opposite of agile.
Zero work life balance is terrible. I was told "eat at your computer, do not go offline".
Tools are cumbersome to say the least. Multiple reporting across multiple tools.
Standards are always in flux. There are good standard documents to utilize for more than half of the documents needed, however they are always changing and you must adhere to the latest versions. Meaning a lot of rework and unnecessary updating.
Micromanagement everywhere. Wordsmithing from multiple managers can be frustrating.

    Advice to Management

    Change the philosophy first.
    Then avoid micromanagement.
Take ownership of your role. If you're the manager then you should be reporting to your peers and your management. Having your team report up to your manager removes your role and work deliverable.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, Ok work life balance

    Cons

Unrealistic sales goals, lot's of pressure, run like a greedy bank, not an insurance agency.

    Advice to Management

Go back to the traditional agency model, this one is unsustainable. Too much middle management adding unnecessary expense and adding NO value.

    Pros

They pay semi-well and they have decent benefits.

    Cons

everything about this place is hostile. From the long working hours to the constant harassment from management to make sales.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and ensure that the branches are staffed properly. This way you will retain the trained employees.

    Pros

Will ask you to leave early then count it as an absence.
Review process will say that your doing great then use any off days as a justification for firing you once you refute the absence.

    Advice to Management

Some of the lower management is ok but they fight against the upper management that want to fight to reduce staff.
