I have been working at Wells Fargo part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Amazing training procedure, best in the industry in my opinion. New benefits such as maternity/paternity leave is a game changer, awesome other benefits as well (401K, medical, dental, etc.) Taking accountability of previous errors (sales practices) and making change for a better company.

    Cons

Obviously working for Wells Fargo for the past 9 years I was part of the intense sales culture and that was a huge downside. Now I appreciate the big change however, current lower management doesn't know the new expectations. I know we are moving to a customer service oriented goals but are in the dark on what that entails.

    Advice to Management

Please continue with this awesome change of culture and be transparent with the lower level employees.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Name recognition and branding is a huge strength. Good benefits. The company strives to do what is right for the customer despite what has been shown in the media in past years. It is a solid, well run company.

    Cons

The biggest con is also the biggest pro in a sense. The company is too large and as such, it becomes almost impossible to properly staff the support for its mortgage originators. As such, the processes suffer and the company's street reputation takes a hit when closings are missed.

    Advice to Management

Instill a culture with fulfillment centers that without successful HMCs, there is no mortgage business. The drop in market share bares this out.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time

    Pros

Nice benefits, pay is decent, team members are usually amazing people to work with. If you get into a great team where everyone follows the rules and cares then it would be 5/5 across the board. But there is always that one corrupt manager somewhere.

    Cons

Managers can be very corrupt. They will give you a list of policies that you're not allowed to do then break it themselves then blame it on you. My manager was stealing money but fired me instead for calling him out on internal ethicsline. The company says they value their team members but push comes to shove where they have to take ownership of their mistake they will drop you in a heartbeat and blame you.

    Advice to Management

    bring external management.
