I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Salary is good, and benefits are wonderful with 401k matching, medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability and a lot of other benefits. Career opportunities with 86 different lines of business make promotions achievable. Culture is changing for the better with a better outlook on work life balance.

    Cons

The culture still tends to have some of its old tendencies, but is getting better and they are starting to take more of an interest in employees with personal plans and goals to help employees achieve those by holding them accountable.

    Advice to Management

    Stay Supportive

I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers it was a ok place to work. Boss does not do much. The wrong people get promoted. Angry customers.

    Cons

Sales, boring. Fast pace. The management wants you to follow a scripted road map. No room for personality and no time to build real connections.

    Advice to Management

    Pay tellers living wage

I worked at Wells Fargo (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and a lot of training on how to be a phone banker, they do not train you on how to deal with belligerent customers.

    Cons

    Unreasonable sales goals.
Management hounding you to make a sale on every call.
Drunk customers, since it was the middle of the night and you could not hang up if they were belligerent and rude. I had customers say some very mean things to me and call me some very mean things. I also had some customer say some disgusting things to me.

    Advice to Management

Ease up on the sales goals for graveyard shift. If a customer is belligerent and threatening or saying gross things to the phone banker, don't make them sit there and take one for the team just so the person won't call back.

I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good team experience. You really get to know the people you work with and a good manager makes you feel like you have an input to the quality of the branch.

    Cons

The sales goal system does not seem right. A lot of it comes down to luck and many employees do not take part in ethical sales and get rewarded for doing so.

    Advice to Management

Increase regulation on the ethics on sales, seeing as right now those who cheat are being rewarded and many of those following the rules are being reprimanded.
