I worked at Wells Fargo as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great development program and exposure to the company. There was a lot of extracurricular involvement in the community which was good!

    Cons

I can't think of many. Sometimes maybe a little bit of dull work. The area was sometime a bit boring.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Wells Fargo (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits and pay are great, receive adequate amount of PTO (0-2 years starts with 18 days automatically) plus all major holidays off

    Cons

No room for much personal development, overtime hours are expected (especially in busier mortgage months), not much interaction with others. Wells Fargo as as a whole is very numbers and production driven- if you don't mind being glued to your computer with constant pressure and demands, this is the place for you. The company culture isn't consistent from department to department. Little to no interaction with your reporting manager.

I worked at Wells Fargo (More than a year)

    Pros

It had great benefits for having children, with nearly everything covered, from dentist to chiropractor and all doctor visits and everything in between. Some good people.

    Cons

There was a major issue with achieving higher than the goals that were in place. The baseline goals were sometimes tough to achieve if you didn't want to press the customers too much.

I worked at Wells Fargo (More than a year)

    Pros

Room for upward growth. Great benefits within the organization - 401K match and generous PTO.

    Cons

Call center, shifts may be undesirable, you have to be in your current position for a year before you are even considered for a promotion, pay was horrible.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-Benefits (PTO, tuition reimbursement, & insurances)
    -Decent pay
-"Culture of caring"- at least in the phone bank, I've seen so many occasions of this company working for it's employees who then work for the customers
-Amazing job opportunities- if you work your butt off- you will be rewarded! (I have worked here for 3 years and have gotten 3 promotions and 6 raises within those jobs)
-Flexibility when life happens (moved across the country for a job transfer within WF and had to come back within a week due to a family member getting ill- there was no problems in coming back to my old position. No questions asked.

    Cons

Long hours when you start out- obviously as a salaried employee it can become taxing. But once you get a hang of things- you are right back to a 40 hour work week.

    Advice to Management

    N/A

This internship program is well-structured, and intensive training during the first week summit.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay within IT - this varies for other careers, great benefits, strong career development opportunities, flexible working conditions, a commitment to diversity, some openness to new ideas and approaches, emphases in required training on ethical and sensitive customer service and on regulatory compliance, nice cubicles, convenient locations, some working from home where jobs allow it. A good employer with a few issues.

    Cons

The strong focus on sensitivity, while important, can morph into a subtle marginalization of outliers and does not preclude office politics. Also, as in any enterprise change takes time, which can be great for managed evolution but may not sit well with anyone craving the quicker fix. More generally, seeing the forest through countless old, tall trees can be very difficult.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing the good things but also ensure that each employee finds a good fit. The rule about sticking with one's first role for a year can burn months of personal and departmental development. Make that half a year, lest you lose an otherwise committed employee who feels they are in the wrong place and can identify an opening that better fits.

    Pros

the atmosphere was great, the benefits as far as vacation, time off, and hours were not so bad as well. Well fargo is such a big company- the opportunities to grow are endless

    Cons

the sales goals and days of work were not that great. turnover rate was horrible

    Advice to Management

The manager that I worked with was rather young, sometimes her approach to resolving issues in the branch was not the best.
