I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great clients and good people to work with

    Cons

At the time, the management structure in my district was full of fraternization. Well qualified people didn't get promotions if they didn't play ball.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

At WFA in the securities side as long as you worked hard at client satisfaction and broker backup you were respected for your efforts.

    Cons

The many deadlines and security industry policies required strict adherence so a bit stressful.

    Advice to Management

    None at this time.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Regular (f/t) hours, paid holidays, easy daily duties, can be a very enjoyable job depending on manager.

    Cons

Poor management, unrealistic sales goals, favortism, company pretended they didn't know CA was cheating the system for over a decade.

    Advice to Management

Acknowledge good customer service provided - like WF claims to care about - not only high sales made. Don't play favorites, letting high sellers slack off daily duties or come in drunk/hungover. Don't short-stick others in scheduling - like having a manager schedule themselves off for *3 months!* and then turn around and refuse their teller/banker a single day off for much-needed pto because they didn't want to give up basically their me-time.Train and mentor employees *before* they make write up-worthy mistakes. Don't brag about how well the company is doing and then go back on your word about promised raises (that aren't even that big anyway)!

Do more to engage employees to make them feel valuable.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great workplace, great coworkers, strong support system, the company makes absolutely sure that you have the tools and knowledge necessary to do your job

    Cons

Pointless policies, cumbersome management style, lack of sufficient incentives, upward mobility leaves more to be desired

    Advice to Management

Promote employees based on their ability to perform in the new position, not whether or not they stay in a given position for a year. Move past the technicalities of a policy and allow management to use their own judgement rather than following everything by the book. Eliminate the clutter of repetitive training and meetings to save company time, and lastly, don't ruin the morale of tenured employees by starting new highers at a higher pay than internal promotions.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of opportunity for growth and development also a lot of positions to transition into - Pay is low at first but as you advance it gets to a very nice salary level

    Cons

Now that the sales area of Wells Fargo has gone its actually a really pleasant place to work at - they are also raising the starting wages

    Advice to Management

Make sure you recognize and reward your people make sure that you don’t transition back into the sales environment caused issues in the first place
