I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I've worked with Wells Fargo for 8 years, in many different departments. Their encouragement for partnering with other teams and genuine concern for a great client experience is consistent across the bank.

    Cons

The pay is not really competitive, they offer great benefits, but the growth in wealth only comes when you move groups or jobs. And even then it's at the lower side of market price.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are great and the people that work there are nice. There is room to grow and experience different lines of business. They also provide tuition reimbursement.

    Cons

Pay is not great compared to other banks and credit unions. Management micromanages like crazy. There is a report for absolutely everything and your managers will "go over" your results daily as to how poorly you are meeting objectives or how you can improve if you are meeting objectives. Wells Fargo keeps restructuring so upper level management changes constantly.

    Advice to Management

Lay off the micromanagement. Let people take care of their customers and stop trying their hands. Sales and growth will come if you let your front line employees get to know their customers and their needs.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Wells Fargo has really Good benefits. Also, You can move up, and around in the company, the 401k is good., and the pay is pretty good. There are so many entities of Wells Fargo, you can choose your area of expertise.

    Cons

Sneaky upper management, a lot of favoritism. Sometimes, it’s not what you know, but who you know. Also, Wells has apparently stopped compensating employees additionally for being bilingual.

    Advice to Management

Learn your people. Listen to your people. The people are what makes Wells Fargo.. If they are unhappy, how can they do their best to service the clients. Also, reassess some management, some only get positions because of who they know., and they have no idea of what is really good for the employees.

    Pros

You can quickly move up in management on the operations side.

    Cons

But once you get promoted, there is no more movement beyond that. They think you want to be a service a manager forever.

Your culture needs work but everyone knows it after the fake account scandal.

I have been working at Wells Fargo (More than 5 years)

    Pros

No longer salary based. Bonuses are great if surveys are consistent. Good networking events. Upper management seems to be involved in growth but if it benefits them of course

    Cons

Not good pay. You have to spend on surveys to get decent bonuses. The company doesn’t seem to know what they’re doing after the lawsuit. Undervalued position when you’re expected to juggle a million things

    Advice to Management

    Value your employees

    Pros

Benefits are excellent and there are a lot of different career opportunities to pursue. Matching 6% to 401K, lots of vacation days and holidays off.

    Cons

Not paid enough for the responsibility and job expectations. Not clear expectations from upper management on job responsibilities because they change them weekly.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are great, paid holidays, PTO, 401k match, medical, etc
My manager is great, they’re really all about deleboping you and getting you to where you’d like to go in your career.
There is a lot of opportunity for advancement. They promote from internally as much as possible.
    Bankers hours are a plus.
They train incredibly well for the financial industry, definitely known for that.
I really love my job, Wells Fargo is a great place to work.

    Cons

It’s been hard for the last while with all of the lawsuits going on. Some bankers who weren’t good at their job have made it miserable for the rest of us. But we have loyal customers and coworkers who make it better!

    Advice to Management

Keep developing team members! It shows you truly care.
