I have been working at Wells Fargo as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful brand new facility. Everything feels new and energized

    Cons

Focus on measurables like saying "assist" instead of "help" There is a lot of pressure to be 100% perfect on quality measurables

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits, teamwork focused, room for growth. Coaching on your career path specific to your strengths. Nationwide opportunities. Various lines of business allowing for more than just retail banking.

    Cons

The only real con I can think of would be having to work on weekends. It used to be having to work until 6 PM or so but many of the branches have shortened their hours.

    Advice to Management

Continue the career development coaching. Morning huddles were also wonderful for team building and keeping us on the same page.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent Medical benefits, 401k plan, vacation time

    Cons

the Jobs in this department are very boring and monotonous, but maybe that speaks more to my personality and not the job itself. I am spontaneous, extraverted, and love to be challenged. This job didnt provide any of that for me so I was constantly stressed.

    Cons

    It is a serious GRIND

    Advice to Management

Keep it up and don't let the haters win!

I worked at Wells Fargo as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

No real pros other than the Cafe located downstairs and that parking was sufficient. Dress code was business casual but more often than not other departments wore extreme loungewear and were not reprimanded accordingly.

    Cons

No communication. Bias and favoritism galore. Performance was measured by their outdated and often incorrect reporting. Managers did more talking with each other than with the staff. Limited training and extremely high expectations for the rate of pay. The job turned into doing three rolls at once and not what it was advertised for. A horrible experience all around.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with employees. Instead of reacting to a problem, foresee the issues and deal with them in advance. Rewarding employees based on performance and not by bias and favoritism by management.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Positive Fun Culture, Customer-Centric, Training, Opportunity, Personal Financial Health Education, 401k Matching. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives.

    Cons

Working for a company's sales department that is constantly in the news for sales practice scandals. The contact centers are completely reformed and have a focus on relationship management instead of sales. However, the news outlets make Wells Fargo seem like Public Enemy #1, and it is hard to admit who you work for when there is negative press on a monthly basis. Also, I started right before the big sales practices scandal broke and Wells Fargo is taking a very long time to figure out how sales commission is going to work since they no longer evaluate sales metrics. So pay has not been very competitive without it but it should be improving mid 2018.

    Advice to Management

I think they know exactly what they need to do, and they are in the process of fixing everything. The contact centers are all on the same page. The big focus is getting branches up to par and inline with the practices that the contact centers display.
