I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great brand name recognition, 6% match on 401k contributions, generous PTO, pay standard for industry

    Cons

The training program is only 12 weeks long in which you are required to bring at least $250,000 in assets and 15 accounts and if you do not meet these deadlines you are fired. The only training is through webinars and two weeks in St. Louis. It is very hard to for new advisors to make it unless they are partnering with senior advisors.

I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The interview process was good, everyone was nice. Employees were great. The pay was good for me at the time. Easy work

    Cons

I enjoyed working with the company but overall didn't seem too diverse. Every branch had a majority of Spanish speaking employees. Seems like the only way to move up is to be bilingual.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Generally a stable position with good work ethic. Pay is competitive, good career opportunities.

    Cons

Started at a new WF division and ran into a "nightmare manager" in my first manager role. She was dictatorial, disrespectful, and overly mired in the details resulting in multiple service gaps. HR did not listen to my concerns and I was terminated after a year and a half on the job despite meeting all reasonable criteria for improvement. Despite WF stating they care about their employees, it seems in this case they didn't care for me despite six years prior of being a high performer. Very disappointing end to my WF career.

    Advice to Management

When an employee contacts you with concerns of poor management....listen...and do something about it.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people that work for the company and the training that you receive is excellent. The customer base at the branch was pretty receptive to anything you suggested

    Cons

The sells goals were unachievable and the pressure you were put under wasn't conducive to the salary you were being paid

    Advice to Management

    Smarter sales goals

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good working environment. Always someone willng to help and plenty of times for training. Tons of great benefits for employees

    Cons

Salaries are low across the board. It doesn't matter. If you are an experienced person will a lot of skill and knowledge and apply for a level 3 or 4 in a certain position, you'll probably make 80,000. If you are entry level, expect to be paid in peanuts and not money. Also, moving up is hard, the unwritten rule is to leave, get experience, then come back. Not much provision to grow within unless you change departments.
