I worked at Wells Fargo (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The opportunity for advancement is high. Managers always encourged employees to move up and the pay was competitive.

    Cons

When I was there, the sales were a bit stressful but I know things have changed. The incentives were also quarterly instead of monthly.

    Advice to Management

keep focusing on customer service and less on sales. The employee experience is also important.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are really great. The job itself is relatively easy work for a detailed oriented person.

    Cons

Negative press. Honestly the press makes it seem that ALL of Welks Fargo is evil and it is simply not true.

    Advice to Management

None. My managers are really supportive. Give independence and availability if needed.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

6% 401k match, good benefits (three months for adoption and new parents, tuition reimbursement, discount mortgage and loan rates.

    Cons

Management is entirely incompetent. With so many years of deceptive sales practices the very people who were doing shady things are now managing teams, not because they're experienced, but because sales. The bank pushes employee recognition to an extreme, it's forced. We are required to send 5 e-cards weekly. The area in which I work also happens to consist entirely of management from another town nearby who were all high school friends with their direct manager (coincidence?)
Management is petty with all of the team. Documents unnecessary items to keep in employee files as leverage against employees, not discreet about it whatsoever. There is no exaggeration when I say petty things. Toxic environment, forced culture, fake management, no clear path to promotion, no real coaching. Vile.

    Advice to Management

Stop forcing culture and recognition. It can't feel genuine when it's mandatory. Put legitimate hiring practices in place. Clean up low level managers and district managers.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good Benefits, Bonus Incentive. If you like sales or are good at it, this will be a good job.

    Cons

There is a lot of pressure from management, because they have too many processes that they want you to follow. And there is too much micro management coming from the DM all the way to the service manager.

    Advice to Management

Stop the micro management. Give the opportunity for employees to excel in what they do.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great growth opportunity and a resume builder. Easy to develop customer service and sales experience.

    Cons

Sales goals have changed a lot with recent events but that was the worst part. Once you get into management opportunities are limited, working more than a 50 hr week at times.

    Advice to Management

The salary for tellers can be low. Should work to improve conditions to reduce turnover.

I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly Co-workers, got to know customers and was able to help with all their banking needs.

    Cons

Sales goals seemed impossible. Found myself stressing out more than anything not knowing the outcome of my employment from week to week.

    Advice to Management

Ease up on sales goals , especially when upper management isn't available to assist.

I worked at Wells Fargo (More than 3 years)

    Pros

nice atmosphere decent compensation and work schedule

    Cons

Current news happenings are right on point with sales. Sales goals were met or you were gone. GOALS WERE UNREALISTIC AND UNETHICAL.

    Advice to Management

I see change coming given the current status of this exact issue.
