I have been working at Wells Fargo

    Pros

Wells Fargo has GREAT benefits. Excellent medical and dental, plus a lot of aid for families. The training program is also very extensive and leaves you feeling competent. Even if you've never been in the financial world, 3 months at Wells Fargo you will feel very comfortable. WF is big enough to be able to offer further employment opportunities in almost every field and the ties within the company are very valuable.

    Cons

The hourly pay does not always seem fair compared to other financials. The teller position is certainly used as a stepping stone to other jobs that do have much fairer compensation. Although the pay isn't great, even the tellers enjoy the great benefit packages which can offset some of the disatisfaction with pay. Also, a teller is asked to do a lot beyond his or her job description. Another con is dealing with a public...

    Advice to Management

Many other smaller financials are really showing their employees, even at entry levels, that they value them with higher pay rates and certainly accessible bonuses. Hosting more employee nights and events could also help the Tellers especially, feel more valued.

I worked at Wells Fargo for more than 2 years

    Pros

Flexible Schedule, decent work office and technology.

    Cons

Terrible, self serving management that doesn't care about any new members to the firm.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Great Training and Development. Wells Fargo spends a lot of time and money making sure you know what you are doing. Other companies know this and just by working at Wells Fargo you are now more marketable to other financials. It is a company that rewards you for results which means the sky is the limit. Great technologies and programs because it is such a large company.

    Cons

It is cut throat. If you are not producing you do not survive. Wells Fargo is working for its share holders just as much as it is for its customers. Limited areas to advance on the retail side.

    Advice to Management

Talk more with the people who work in the retail stores about what matters to team members and customers. The corporate vision often does not align with the practical parts of day to day banking and can be very unrealistic at times.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

It's decent money for some small towns

    Cons

It's completely product, results driven. No cares given about customers, their needs, etc. Managers are usually high school grads at best, and promoted socially rather than merit.

    Advice to Management

Quit raising goals when you're raising fees and changing products.

I have been working at Wells Fargo

    Pros

I really like the benefits. The health care coverage is great. I recently had a baby and the out of pocket expense was less than five hundred dollars. Also they give a lot of vacation each year to all of their employees. I also like the schedule I have to work every other Saturday but it is a short day. I like the dress code. I like that I make a real difference in peoples life. I like getting to know customers and meeting...

    Cons

Some of the downsides to working at wells fargo includes the lack of pay. For example, as a college graduate with a four year degree most of my friends make more than me in similar positions. Also, in my position there is a lot of sales goal that have to be met, I often leave work feeling stressed and wanting to find a more stable job. I own a house and hate having to worry if I will meet there high goals. I also hate...
