I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Solid company and good overall work experience to take to another employer

    Cons

This is a solutions based preformance environment. It's said that the customer come first but in reality the bonus structure is based soley off of solution or production. In reality it shove as many products done the throat od the client that you can. Wheather they will ever need or use them. In essance open as many relationships as possible with as many fees to be charged as possible. Additionally the bonus...

    Advice to Management

Go back to the client oriented structure. Base performance on client relationships and actual performance not the current what have you done for us only attitude

I have been working at Wells Fargo part-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get benefits after a certain amount of time, plus the ability to earn money at the end of every quarter based on sales

    Cons

Sales goals are unrealistic for both tellers and bankers. Always aiming sky high, which means a never ending roller coaster of praise and disappointment. Company doesn't believe in the "law of averages", where you're just going to have bad days. You're expected to reach your goals, no matter what kind of traffic comes in the door, even if you're a slow branch. It's great for bankers if you're in a high traffic area,...

    Advice to Management

"Scripting" with tellers doesn't work at all. If people wanted to talk to robots, they would just use the ATM. They don't want to hear someone repeat a script which includes lines like "It is important for me to go out of my way to please you today". People want to talk to people in a natural fashion, not step by step in a script.

I have been working at Wells Fargo

    Pros

Company has an excellent culture of helping team members reach career goals and promoting from within. Numerous career paths to follow. Company maintains a very good reputation among other retail banks. Very progressive in systems used to help bankers sell products and services.

    Cons

If one is not sales oriented this is not the job to pursue. Very aggressive in attaining sales goals. Company is heavily segmented and can be very bureaucratic with one getting connected to many different departments for resolutions.

    Advice to Management

Pay needs to be a little bit more:)
