I have been working at Welltower full-time

    Pros

Improving earnings and creating shareholder value are why people are employed by publicly traded companies in the first place. Historically, this was never management’s view and the company over hired and overpaid people to do average work. The new management team is cleaning up the company and positioning it for the future which has tremendous upside in a high growth sector. Work hard, be accountable, be transparent and you'll be rewarded.

    Cons

Tough times culturally during the transition, but the company has to evolve.

    Advice to Management

    Stay the course.

    Pros

I enjoyed working at Health Care REIT (now known as Welltower). There was a great work / life balance, and business travel was held to a minimum.

    Cons

Company really mishandled closing of Brentwood office. Gave employees very little time to consider relocation offers and wanted a final answer during the Christmas season, with the last day of employment being New Years Eve.

    Pros

It has a professional atmosphere with emphasis on results, but is also laid back enough to enjoy. The new building is amazing, and its fun to work in such an environment. The company itself is resting on very sound economics.

    Cons

Toledo itself is not the greatest city in the world. If you are not from Toledo it can be hard to get used to.

    Advice to Management

    Continue doing a great job.
