      Pros

      Translators should avoid working for this company.

      Cons

      The company requires you to use its "vendor portal" to manage work and submit invoices, but the system is in transition between platforms, and none seems to work for me. Technical help seems to be nonexistent. It's virtually impossible to reach a human in this company by telephone. And I can't even find the name of my project manager in their dial-by-number directory. Project managers don't seem to respond to e-mail...

      I have been working at Welocalize full-time for less than a year

      Pros

      No pros. This company is a terrible place where you wanna work. It’s not a good environment. I’m praying god everyday to help me find another place and get rid of this nightmare.

      Cons

      Micromanaging every single moment of my day. Pretend to control all email I’m writing before I can send. Controlling my text messages, on my private phone ( because they don’t give you a phone to work with ) . I have also to use my computer sometime because they’re computer are not upgrade and not working. This place make milion of dollars over the shoulder of normal people.. don’t pay a minimum salary, and treat persons...

      I have been working at Welocalize for less than a year

      Pros

      Good clients and interesting jobs; alright rates for a global agency like this; good PMs who are quite responsive and helpful

      Cons

      Takes ages to get paid, around 2 months from submission which is difficult for a freelancer and for no apparent reason they let the invoice ‘mature’ for 45 days before issuing payment. Often tight deadlines and confused management including dates for jobs expected that keep changing because of the client. Feels like they don’t respect your time.

      Advice to Management

      Bee more mindful of the time that a freelancer have for juggling projects and change the payment structure!
