      I worked at Welocalize full-time

      Pros

There are some great people who work here and it was a privilege getting to know them and learn from them. Somewhat flexible hours.

      Cons

Upper management and the execs are a nightmare. Micromanaging at its finest. Raises are a joke unless you are a part of the 'elite', i.e. the rich get richer. You will never be praised for a job well done but you'll surely hear about any minor mistake that you make. The 'little guy' isn't appreciated at all even though they're doing the bulk of the grunt work. The company culture is moving in the wrong direction. Complaints...

      Advice to Management

This used to be a fun place to work, stop moving away from that. Care about ALL of your employees, even the little guy since they're the ones holding everything together.

I have been working at Welocalize full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Flexible hours and the ability to take vacation whenever. You gain great insight into the fields of localization and translation.

      Cons

You're treated like a tool and it is apparent that you can easily be replaced. There's no avenues to advance in the company

      Advice to Management

Even though most employees are on a contract, still encourage internal growth.

I have been working at Welocalize full-time

      Pros

      - Fun work atmosphere - A range of work/tasks to get into - Invest in Interns and young people fresh out of Uni/Collage - Have an idealab where they want to know what you want, what can be done to help you and your process at work - Get the opportunity to grow and flourish in your role - Flexible working hours

      Cons

      - Communication could be improved upon but admittedly it is a global company so could always be some issues - There are some differences between offices, and roles etc

      I worked at Welocalize

      Pros

Flexible hours. Highly technical. Supportive colleagues. Diversity of projects and content type. Great social committee.

      Cons

Long hours. If you work your contracted 37.5 hours, this means you "do not have enough work to do". Expect to do 50-60 hours per week just to keep afloat; overtime is UNPAID. No acknowledgement from management when staff work excessive hours in order to maintain service levels to clients. Very poor work:life balance. If you are a workaholic, this will be the place for you. Management undermine staff in front of employees...

      Advice to Management

Very simple: If the management start listening to, evaluating, and taking on board staff concerns, this would be a great place to work in again. Welocalize has turned into a very negative and poisonous place to work. Focus is always on negativity. Balance this with positive feedback with staff in order to help morale. If you talk the talk, then walk the walk. Simple.

      I worked at Welocalize

      Pros

Relax interpersonal relationships Flexible working hours and locations

      Cons

Lack of personal development space Low salary, new comer with less experience could be paid better than experienced employees Stressful workload, people are pushed to the edge Every project manager are engaged in their own projects, which means less flexibility for personal holidays.

      Advice to Management

Establish reward system for excellent employees Help hard-working employee release pressure, rather than increase their workload

I have been working at Welocalize

      Pros

Great benefits. Depending on the office, the option to work remotely and flexible hours. The casual work place is wonderful. Welcoming, friendly co-workers - great people. Opportunity to learn new technologies and work for an industry leader. A chance to be innovative, if you have good ideas your voice is heard. Constant change for improvement is encouraging and exciting, there is always progress forward towards a better...

      Cons

Frequent management changes disrupt consistent internal company message and goals. Employees are worked into the ground - no life/work balance. Constantly re-vamping programs and if there was some planning and forethought, they would be setup corrently in the first place.

      Advice to Management

Hire more staff and compensate your employees fairly.
