I have been working at Welsh Consulting part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Friendly and helpful coworkers that are involved with you and actively care about you, makes the workflow and the team aspect at welsh strong. The upper management is very understanding and pro active. They often times will go above and beyond to help you with your work if need be, despite them having work themselves. they want to see their employees excel at what they do, and even will help put them on a path... to excel at other subjects not pertaining to their job title. all around the staff & upper management is very accommodating and encourages self improvement. to sum it up, they want to see their employees succeed and give the opportunity and advise on how to improve upon what you do which is very encouraging.

    Cons

the commute into work is the only real downside I see, being just outside of Boston traffic can be troublesome at times but this is a given anywhere in/ outside Boston. Hectic around the office occasionally if a team member isn't at the office because of increased workload on a small staffed helpdesk. organization could be improved upon but still very manageable and effective in regards to that only some... employees are trained in certain fields making it difficult to help others if that one person isn't able to be contacted

    Advice to Management

I believe that what management is doing currently is good. Bringing in more employees / hands for work would definitely be a plus to help manage all of the tickets we receive and allow other employees to be free to do hands on/ on site work increasing overall productivity. in terms of employee management relations, I feel that I can go to any one of my upper management for anything. they're inviting helpful and... even get involved and ask you things about your personal life which is different from most. I feel extremely comfortable telling them if I did something wrong or if something has gone wrong, there's never any huge backlash Id say that management is great at Welsh Consulting keep doing what your doing guys!

The people I work with are hard working and passionate about what they do and really enjoy being here. It's a pleasure to go to work everyday and be part of this great team. Pros

Great work environment, upper management more that cares for their employee’s needs, Braintree location easy to get to just off the highway, very positive outlook for growing company

    Cons

    Parking is not that great

    Advice to Management

I have worked at Welsh for a year. To be honest it looks like the people that have written the bad reviews were probably employees of the previous owner and did not like change because from where I am sitting this company is a great company to work for. Benefit, salary, time off is nothing short of what you would get anyplace else. The fact that they have employees that returned for employment says something right... there. Personally I have never had a job where I felt I was treated unfair or disliked but I really love working for Welsh Consulting I do not see at all what has been written in the previous reviews. The revolving door has stopped revolving because the people that are here want to be here. We work hard for our clients to ensure they get the best support. I am not a person the reads or writes reviews but when stumbling across this site I decided to read the reviews then write my own since what I have read is false. Work ethic has changed drastically over the years my motto is and always has been hard work pays off and at Welsh I see that happening. There has not been a day that I have felt over worked or was expected to work beyond my shift. Management is very fair to employees

    Pros

    - Company that values everyone's opinion - Door to the CEO's office is always open. Easy to talk to in both good and bad situations - If you work hard and do what's asked, you can move up the company. They like to promote from within. - Company is flexible with you and your work/life balance - Employees are currently great. They have gotten rid of people who want everything given to them, and don't like to... work hard. Great team environment now. - Training opportunities. Express what you want to learn and the company will work with you to get trained.

I have been working at Welsh Consulting full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good working conditions - new offices in Braintree Management has tried hard to improve work/life balance Pay is on higher end for location Advancement opportunities While it is true that the company has had some ups and downs, as a whole they have worked hard lately to make this a place that people would want to work at. Those who have left (and have left negative reviews) aren't telling the whole story- as... there are always 2 sides to each one and it isn't always "the company was bad". Work conditions, management/employee interactions and peer camaraderie have all been improved upon and you can see it in how people interact and with the new clients they are bringing on board.

    Cons

While there are not many cons I have experienced since being here, the primary is that they were sometimes slow to react to changes that need to be made in both personell and culture- both that have improved dramatically

    Advice to Management

    Cons

-Company morale is very low -Since the company moved to Braintree there's nothing in the vicinity to go to. -Managers meet everyday for an hour in Charlie's office. -If you're pulled from a client, you're not given an explanation. -No one is allowed to do any certification reading or simply self-improvement during down time unless authorized. -CEO speaks to employees instead of managers. -IT manager evaluates... non-IT personnel. -Operations manager evaluates IT personnel.
