    Pros

Great place to work. I will retire here!!

    Cons

    Management is interesting. Concerns over.
Acquisition changes by MGH. Unless you are a nurse there is no advancement opportunity for truly brilliant talented people who end up leaving.

    Advice to Management

All departments need to work together.

I have been working at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Promote personal improvement such as education. Have adopted a shared governance model that is working well on most units. A great place to work!

    Cons

Accountability of management is lacking mostly with managers who have been in the organization "forever"! Overall there really aren't too many negatives.

    Advice to Management

Executive team should be more visible in the organization.

I worked at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Friendly, collaborate environment. The benefits are great and employees seem to genuinely care.

    Cons

Professional growth can be stunted depending on which department you work in due to a large group of "Lifers".

    Advice to Management

Give newer employees a chance to prove themselves and promote them if their performance warrants rather than keeping someone in a role where they don't belong simply because they've worked there for 20 or more years.
