I have been working at Wes-Garde Components part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy work, great hours, decent pay

    Cons

Management is lacking, work orders can be not worth the pay

    Advice to Management

    Manage a bit better

I worked at Wes-Garde Components full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent benefits. Department (excludes corporate management) employees for the most part generally get along and react well with each other (approximately 40+/- employees so it's somewhat easy to make work friends) - provided department management does not create unnecessary friction. (Somewhat frequently occurs.)

    Cons

Corporate level management appears to care little to nothing of workers lower than their own level. (You will occasionally get a nice hello however as they pass by you) Pay is low and not consistent with market. Expect few raises and memos or other explanations (slow market, etc.) expressing reasons why. Employee favoritism from specific corporate department management is obvious. Certain corporate managers seem to thrive on generating interdepartment friction or creating unnecessary stress within their own department. There is a branch of this company within the same building (under separate management) and this review and the comments made herin exclude said branch and are related solely to corporate level employment only.

    Advice to Management

Company performance/evaluation review: UNSATISFACTORY. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. Corporate level salary increases undeserved/not recommended until improvements are made.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Wes-Garde Components full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Employer paid health care. Generous paid vacation time, the more years with the company the more paid vacation earned. Paid sick leave.

    Cons

In general salaries were well below market and salary increases were few and far in between. Management was almost indifferent to employee needs. Atmosphere for the most was, I'm here to collect a pay check. No incentive to work any more than was needed because there was no acknowledgement for going above and beyond.

    Advice to Management

Reward those who work hard and go above and beyond. Give yearly salary increases even if it is just a cost of living increase. Pay people what the market supports.
