    Pros

Good Benefits, family oriented working environment, friendly staff. There is unlimited potential for professional and personal growth and the ability to develop personal skills.

    Cons

There are very limited downside working with Wescom Credit Union one is the distance from where I live, which is about 30 miles away from home. Another downside is that someone needs to be constantly on your toes in order to be on top of everything or you should be proactive type of an employee.

    Advice to Management

Management level should sometimes understand employee's concerns, feelings and they should be considerate to employees especially in terms of granting personal time off and or people calling in sick.

I worked at Wescom Credit Union full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, flexible hours and many branches

    Cons

This is actually a very good financial institution. It's sad to say that they often promote the wrong person. As long as you know how to be friend with your region manager, you will get promote quick without any questions. They often ignore good, hard working, dedicated employees. Upper managements only care about themselves.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and not only to managements. Often managers abuse their power. Little people often get eaten by sharks.

    Pros

I had an awesome supervisor. Work/life balance is excellent. Very family oriented.

    Cons

Too many chiefs that try very hard to micromanage the team. No room for growth in the collections department. People are promised positions and raises but it is never done. All team leads gossip way to much.

    Advice to Management

Stop making promises you cant fulfill and don't let you team leads micromanage they way they do. You have lost lots of good people do to letting her micromanage. People cant even get up to go to the restroom without getting an email telling them that they took to long.

I have been working at Wescom Credit Union full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great culture where they place the focus on member service. Most employees are very friendly and courteous; however, some departments are rude(Lending, Collections)

    Cons

They harp on team work and collaboration, unfortunately they have been unsuccessful with getting the entire team on board. Other than that, no other complaints!

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees what they are worth, even if you are promoting from within. You may retain some of your best talent that way.

I have been working at Wescom Credit Union (Less than a year)

    Pros

benefits and 401K are decent. they offer multiple team gathers to build a good working team, and allows everyone to get to know each other.

    Cons

Everything is monitored and timed. You are timed when you take a break/lunch, go to the bathroom, when your on hold, when the member is on hold, how many times you call other departments. You are than graded on the department average. If you do not meet those averages or standards. you could possibly be written up.
