I have been working at Wespath Benefits and Investments full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Wespath's employees are the best I've ever worked with. It's a great team of people who are wonderful and work as partners for each other and the business. The company really works to put employees first. I've never seen such great benefits - health AND retirement!

    Cons

No company is perfect but there aren't really any downsides to working at Wespath for me. The only limitation here is that the company is mid-sized so there aren't a million jobs to be able to move into but I'm happy in the position I have!

    Advice to Management

Keep up your efforts to make Wespath even better than it already is! Your employees appreciate it.

    Pros

    403(b) contribution is generous
Health benefits are considerably less out of pocket
Good work/life balance in comparison to other organizations
    Generous time off

    Cons

Fosters unhealthy relationships throughout the organizations in different levels but management forces healthy relationships to direct reports
Inconsistent accountability from department to department and even team to team within departments
Salary and increases should be more competitive

    Advice to Management

Find ways to get ear closer to the ground - possibly use a 3rd party to gather anonymous feedback
Hold all accountable to same standards

I worked at Wespath Benefits and Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Benefits and compensation are great.
    Time off is very generous.
    Nice location and infrastructure.
If your like to take the initiative and learn new skills, this is the place to start a career.
A lot of recognition programs for employees with good performance.
Very nice people to work with.
Everyone's opinion matter, this is reflected in every initiative thorough the entire organization.

    Cons

Commute if you live in the city could be long , especially during winter.
Work load varies depending on the department, some teams could have 10-12 hours days of work.
If your are used to the private agency work environment with a lay back style and a adult celebratory ambiance, probably this organization could be too conservative.

    Advice to Management

More investment in employees development, create incentive plans to motivate career growth.
Flexibility (work remotely, dress code) could contribute to create a more enjoyable environment.
