The Work-Life Bowl

1y

works at

Accenture

I don’t know if this belongs in this bowl but dunno who else to ask - I’m about to upgrade my furniture for the first time ever and am going to buy a sectional, light gray or neutral. Love the mid century modern look + deep seat cushions. I don’t want to wait 6-9 weeks for a custom one like most of West Elm. Where should I buy?

    Pros

the best part of job is the flexibility the company allows for work availability

    Cons

constantly working a high stress and understaffed environment. there’s a bonus you get if you sell over a million dollars worth of profit, but it’s less than 1% back in what you sell. customer service online and corporate push blame towards retail designers. no room for advancement besides management.

    Pros

Exciting environment if you appreciate interior design. Plus a pretty awesome employee discount

    Cons

There are no commission on sales, so you can work really hard trying to sell a $6000 sofa or you can sell a $70 drink table to someone who’s already interested and there would be no difference in pay.

    Pros

You get to work with creative, helpful, hardworking people. The office is beautiful, inside and outside.

    Cons

Benefits are lacking. Most teams are going in office 3x a week, per leadership's direction - teams that do not even need to be physically there to do their job.
