    Pros

I worked for West side for 5 years and I can honestly say it is one of the better company's out there. Its the only company where the owner still drives. The pay is decent and if you want to work you WILL make money. They cater to the needs of drivers which I've never seen before.

    Cons

Like all company's they have issues like over catering to drivers.if you need time off you will get it but don't expect anyone to pay for it.

    Advice to Management

Keep working. On it till you find what works.

I worked at West Side Transport full-time

    Pros

They'll take you right out of school and train you

    Cons

Low pay. Broken promises. Equipment issues. The pay commitment is a gimmick to get you in the door....good luck ever getting it. The hometime is decent. That's where it ends....nothing else about this company is good.

    Advice to Management

Back up your claims to be a family company and stop promising a pay commitment that you won't make good on.

I worked at West Side Transport full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Don't have many pros about this company they really need to step their game up

    Cons

Dispatchers are horrible about getting you home keeping you in the same areas having to avoid the toll roads because they won't put ez pass in the trucks so you get caught up in all the traffic while you run back roads daily. The pay commitment is a bunch of bull crap they find a way for you not to get it. I would,t recommend this company to anyone who wants to be classified as a OTR driver.

    Advice to Management

They really need to step there game up too many companies out here with better miles and that has EZ PASS in their trucks

    Pros

If West Side didn't care about their employees then why would they pay me the minimum pay commitment when I weather affected my paycheck and I made less than $900? They paid the difference out of their own pocket to make sure I still had enough.

    Cons

Not much to share about cons.

    Advice to Management

Keep thinking about driver needs and implementing the changes so we can keep making our jobs easier.

I have been working at West Side Transport full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Having been in the transportation industry for 18 years and having worked at both large and medium sized companies, I can tell you that the employees are the most important part of the industry to West Side Transport. We are all treated with respect and our voices are heard.

    Cons

Working on the new corporate headquarters as the current office is an older building.

    Pros

There are no Pros to this Company

    Cons

Hired on as a Southeast Regional Driver. I keep getting loads to MO, IL, MI so I turn them down and their response is these States are in the Southeast Region. Wish I was told that before I was hired. Would never had taken the position.

    Pros

There are none. Seriously been to companies that were way better than this company.

    Cons

Alot; not promised the commitment guarantee, miles were not as they seem and for the love of god, MANGEMENT. But my top 3 right here

    Advice to Management

Basically do not con drivers out of the pay you are suppose to guarantee. It's trucking things happen for a reason. In the sort time I have been trucking I would recommend crst to someone rather than this company

The reason for the Pay Commitment is so when miles are down you still bring home a good paycheck. Were you given a reason why you didn't receive the Pay Commitment? Like other companies there are ... More
