    Pros

Weekends off, decent insurance, can make good money for a call center job, clean office space to work in, enclosed parking is nice in the winter

    Cons

Like all call centers you can get burned out quickly. Commission structure changes regularly so it's hard to know what you can make.

    Pros

    Management is typically extremely helpful.
They do a great job making everyone feel part of a larger team.

Pay is towards the lower end for specialized positions.
Hard time having new equipment purchases approved.

    Advice to Management

Open the checkbook a little more. Faster machines = more productivity.

    Pros

Great people, everyone is "willing" to help. Lunch rides are great! Culture is cut throat if your not a bike rider.

    Cons

Everything is every unorganized, management wants you to do there job if you are below them. They don't promote within unless you are liked by the above. Management can't even keep their word. Completely disappointed!

I worked at West Specialized Agent Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everything SOUNDED good when I first started.

    Cons

They call it the "New West", seems same old to me. I will NEVER work for West Corp again!! I was with the American Express project. At first the project seemed to really take off. As the weeks went on, it got more chaotic. One day you were told you could do something the next you couldn't. A few weeks later you're fired because the rules changed and basically getting fired because of what you were told to do! Most of their employee's smoke.(not my business) Employees sleeping with supervisors/employees, people gossiping and talking about each other. West was like an adult version of Middle School. Let's just put it like this; I'd have more faith jumping off of a skyscraper and landing alive than I would being at West again. They take on the most ridiculous contracts if you ask me. They want people to meet ridiculous stats and every small thing can get you fired. Don't meet stats "fired", did something a supervisor told you to do "fired", got on a higher ups bad side "fired", told the truth about the company to the actual American Express owners "fired", Who wants to work like that?! They had a "purge" where they terminated 45+ people!! If you're looking for stability don't go here. They cheat you out on bonuses and the pressure is not worth it!! RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!! I don't care how much they try to change the name, it's still the same old West.

    Advice to Management

Stop telling people they can do things that aren't true. Stop wasting peoples time if your only intention is to fire them without warning. Also stop sleeping w/ and flirting w/ employees.

    Pros

Super nice co-workers and bosses. Very helpful individual coaching and weekly meetings. Generous PTO. No weekends. Pleasant work. This is all very important for my job satisfaction.

    Cons

Hourly pay is low. Bonus structure has changed and now you are stacked with others and only the top 50% get bonuses. Sitting all day at a desk and only allowed 15 minutes away from desk (not including 1/2 lunch and two 10 minute breaks) is very hard on a persons body. We have a small break room that fits about a dozen people when we have 500 people on this floor. There is always a line to get water and coffee.

    Advice to Management

Increase hourly wages and bring back the old bonus structure.
Realize that having a lunch room for more than 12 employees makes sense.
Take a look at providing better working conditions such as comfortable chairs, lighting (including natural light), air circulation and cubicles that are better at keeping out sound. Our stuff is worn and dirty and could use an update.
Don't forget to give a person praise for a job well done.
