    out of place management in some areas, but not all

    Consider the client at all costs. staff for that demand.

    Pros

    This company is growing in a very active business to business market space. There are lots of opportunities for advancement internally.

    Cons

    The company is very immature in processes. Vibrant sales are a blessing but an immature implementation process causes issues that have rippling effects.

    Advice to Management

    Invest more in facilities. The current setup is functional but improvements are needed. Need to do a better job of anticipating staffing needs. Get the right people on board sooner.

    Pros

    There is no micromanaging and a good amount of freedom is given to resolve client issues. Plenty of opportunities are available for vertical movement within the company as well an exceptional amount of encouragement to better your knowledge.

    Cons

    There aren't many limitations we provide to clients. While good from a client-perspective, having to troubleshoot unfamiliar systems and manage unprovided equipment can cause confusion and lack of standards.

    Pros

    As the company is continuing to grow and contuse with acquisitions, opportunities exist for the right people. Those who go out and seek a path and can back that up with ability and effort will probably do well. Constant Change, keeps life interesting!

    Cons

    A little disjointed at times due to the rapid growth and new companies coming into the fold.

    Advice to Management

    Clear strategic direction and view of how all the pieces of the puzzle fit now, and in the future (think the last bit is the most crucial)

    Pros

    Coworkers are great, and everyone is genuinely nice. They also do provide really comprehensive training which has been very helpful. The VPs and Directors seem like they do care which is good, to an extent.

    Cons

    The Telecom industry is getting more and more competitive and West is losing its niche. West's products are so expensive that your major selling point is customer service, which is lacking that's why major customers are looking elsewhere. As someone who is supposed to find new business it becomes difficult to sell someone on something that is this expensive while the benefits are just not there. You aren't getting what you pay for.

    Advice to Management

    Either revamp the customer service you pride yourself on, or low the prices. Also don't tell the employees how transparent the company is when you keep everyone in the dark.

    Pros

    Has some state of the art technology that offers up integration in ways no other company can provide. Good people

    Cons

    Not enough people to get the job done. Too many silos. Pay has to be corrected to get things straight

    Advice to Management

    Hire more folks, get processes down to as few workflows as possible and remove all the silos

    I have been working at West Unified Communication Services (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Worked here over 8 years and the PTO and Benefits what you would expect. You will find many good people to work with.

    Cons

    Are not promoted from within West as promised when hired. Pay does not increase with rate of inflations. Years go by before receiving any raise and the prospect of making over $30k his highly unlikely. Middle management also does not receive annual pay increases. Poor top mananagement which prevents reasonable work environment decisions. Days can be very long as a telemarkerer because qualified call lists are not provided even though they are promised by clients and West management.

    Advice to Management

    Implement the sales plans your sales associates are telling you implement and give out annual raises to everyone.
