I worked at West Virginia State University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The hours are good, and very reasonable. For staff, they even have summer hours so you can get off earlier. Vacation/sick time is ample and insurance is better than most. Depends on what area you work at, but I enjoyed those I worked with and help was around if it was needed.

    Cons

Pay is a bit low, but it's working for the state. The benefits really do make up for it a good bit.

The people who work here, who are truly invested in providing an excellent experience to students and the public, are some of the most amazing people you could ever hope to meet and work with.

    Cons

The new administration came in and immediately obliterated the feeling that you're working together as a team or a family.
