I have been working at Westaff full-time

    Pros

Have always found me employment quickly.

    Cons

Can sometimes be uncommunicative and a bit too laid back.

    I worked at Westaff part-time

    Pros

    Westaff has a nice office.

    Cons

Long, overly thorough interview. Job wound up lasting 3 days. Had to gather my own employee references over the weekend prior to start cause it was all rush, rush. Way too much trouble to fill a spot for a problem employer at employee expense. Employer did 2 hours training calling it an interview-for free. Federal poverty line questions on computer info at management office.

    Advice to Management

I know there is a fool born every minute. But couldn't you women let an occasional one slip by?

    I worked at Westaff full-time

    Pros

sometimes good job opportunities but usually nothing that will let you advance

    Cons

They do not care about the safety of their employees. We are dollars to them. Verbally abused by the boss on an assignment, threatened and verbally abused by another westaff employee and they let me go.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your staff

    Pros

Westaff is definitely also a good staffing agency. It is just like other staffing agencies trying to outperform other agencies by doing what it can to its contracted workers.

    Cons

They have to reach out to their contracted or prospective employees by way of telephone that is faster to communicate than email messaging.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Westaff full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job has flexibility and corporate backing. Working for a franchise provides you with the flexibility of a small company but with the tools of a large corporate entity.

    Cons

Training on the franchise level is nonexistent. It is definitely a sink or swim mentality working for this particular franchisee. You MUST have thick skin to work here!
