I have been working at Western Alliance Bank full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Western Alliance Bank is a premier fast growing organization. It is exciting and fast paced. Executive Management cares about the employees. A recent example of this is when the business tax laws changed, Western Alliance shared the funds of that tax savings, by passing it along to employees who were within a certain salary threshold. This benefited a number of employees across the organization, sending a message of appreciation for their daily contributions. Strong benefits package.

    Cons

With a fast growing company comes change, individuals need to be strong change agents as the company continues to advance in all aspects of its business.

I have been working at Western Alliance Bank full-time

    Pros

    Good company but bad management.

    Cons

    Horrible branch operations supervisors.

    Advice to Management

Rid yourself of the branch ops supervisors. They do not hire from within and are backstabbers. I see them let too many good people leave the company without a care and hire unprofessional and non experienced new ones. Currently looking to leave for a company that appreciates me.

I have been working at Western Alliance Bank full-time

    Pros

There are no pros to working here.

    Cons

Western Alliance is hands down one of the worst organizations to work for. The Bank’s leadership has ingrained a culture of publicly disrespecting, bullying and chastising employees to paint themselves in a better light. They have an extremely high turn over rate, largely due to hiring incompetent, unqualified leaders who resort to brown-nosing to survive. It’s a very toxic work environment and is not for the faint of heart.

    Advice to Management

Treat people with respect and don't allow executives to bring their personal problems and drama to the workplace. Just because they hate the world it doesn't give them an excuse to verbally abuse their staff. Also, stop hiring incompetent 'friends' and look to hire qualified individuals that have actual industry experience and can add value.

I worked at Western Alliance Bank full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great and friendly people are hired, but keeping them happy is another issue... A financially healthy company so job security is great.

    Cons

Lack of internal promotion unless a favored individual with academic pedigree. Can make the culture a bit bleak.

    Advice to Management

Value the "little people"... With more opportunity to move up and feel valued, the culture would be much better.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Western Alliance Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay and bonus are the only thing keeping this place from being a ghost town. However their medical benefits are the worst of any place I've ever worked.

    Cons

Lazy middle management, HR department doesn't notice what's going on and when issues are brought up, little or nothing happens. Festering time bomb. Toxic environment of pissed off women who are mad that the men make more, get more opportunities, obvious disparate treatment. Low morale and obvious chaos amongst the team. Massive turnover and lack of training. Sad place.

    Advice to Management

Get your head out of your arse! Take note on what's going on around you.
