I worked at Western Dental Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great entry level positions working in the front office area
Chances to move up in the office level

    Cons

Certain offices are historically poor in regards to service and ability to serve their overly large amounts of patients, not really attributed to most of the workers BUT
Managers are way too concerned with making their numbers for the month, which costs them their time and effort that should be put into patients' experiences
Corporate has no idea what it's like at the office level, and all they do is force more and more appointments on already overworked offices, this means that work does not get done on a day-to-day basis and eventually goes without being submitted or filed, which means patient's wait weeks or months to find out about treatment approvals or get a call back
Constantly changing doctors that are expected to come in and fill some pretty large shoes and fall behind on work
Corporate changes specialty doctor days almost arbitrarily which really messes with patients' trust in the office, as sometimes they have an appointment for weeks only to find out the day before it must be moved
Call center does not know when specialty days are coming and books specialty treatment on days that a certain specialty doctor is not there, also they do not know what time certain offices close/open and book appointments whenever, also they do not care to ask patients if they have been to the office before/if they have insurance (insurance should be checked prior to the appointment) which means the appointments call center makes are almost always inaccurate
Corporate refuses to hire more staff to accommodate large amounts of patients

    Advice to Management

It's not a sales game, its a medical clinic where people require care and attention, make offices run more smoothly by hiring more or stretching out treatment scheduling over time

I have been working at Western Dental Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I like working here because of the over all patient care. The patients are a joy to meet. Have had a good experience with all. The company offers great benefits and employees go out of there way to help you with whatever you need. The nicest co workers!

    Cons

The bonus structure is set too high for the newer hires . The hours are fine with me. I really don’t have any so far.

I have been working at Western Dental Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Getting paid every 2 weeks that's about it. I really have nothing else to say but I'm required to add at least 20 words so hopefully this is good enough.

    Cons

Where do I even begin? There's not enough space allotted to begin to tell you how horrible this place is. Please, I beg you steer far away from this company. Management is the number one reason why people hate it here and why the turn around rate is beyond ridiculous. I wouldn't want my worse enemy working here. They will butter you up and make this job seem like there's no better place and once you get sucked in your screwed. They are constantly on you about making outbound calls, hounding you to schedule orthodontist appointments to patient's and will write you up if you don't meet their requirements. The shifts are not set, they vary week to week and they are not flexible. The training is the worse training I've ever encountered in my life, they only train you for one week and you better hope the systems are working. One person in management will say one thing and you'll get a completely different answer from someone else. Another thing is confidentiality means absolutely nothing, there's been times where you'll get scheduled for a meeting in one of the managers offices and see personal information lying on the table such as someone else's write up. The list is endless of how unorganized and unfair this company is, i just hope you really do your research and think twice, no 100 times before accepting their offer. I wish this helps someone because I promise there is a better job then working here to whoever is considering Western Dental. Hence why they only have 2.7 stars, RUN!

    Advice to Management

Stop lieing, be more sympathetic, work with your team not against your team, consider taking management classes, take ownership for your wrongs, believe it or not you guys mess up to and be more proactive in providing a better way to train your employees.
