Pros
learning experience was ample and educational
Cons
pay was not that great
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Lots of opportunity for growth . Great learning experience
Cons
Pay could be better but other than that company is great
- Current Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Opportunities for travel and in the beginning it seemed as though there was room for growth as well. I did also like my team and learned a lot about dentistry from business managers as well as field trainers for the company.
Cons
There are a lot more cons than there are pros: -No work/life balance -Low pay for the amount of work you are given -When traveling on their supposed dime, you are not completely reimbursed -Too much pressure to sell -Practice Development Manager has little respect for employee -The company makes you believe that there is room for growth and that you can get quickly promoted, but that is not true. -There are so many people that quit within the first two weeks of them working here. -They are very disorganized in placing you, training you, and opening new offices. -The list goes on and on, really consider everything before taking the job-it has stressed me out so much

Pros
Full time Benefits Potential for growth
Cons
Call center being rude giving bad representation of office Upper management does not value their employee PDM's and CD's don't care about BM's, only care about producing Western Dental is all about money and production. They do not care for the patient. PCCs do not get good bonuses Anything that is said to HR is talked about to PDMs and employees. Their is no privacy Having Low pay and giving 0.3% increase after 1 year for employees who qualify is just a slap in the face. Hours say you are open 9-7 but they have staff working passed 830.

Pros
Worked there for almost 3 years and I hate to say that I have no pros.
Cons
Leadership sucks they don't know what they are doing? They set unrealistic goals and don't want out pay out commission.

Pros
For the most part, all of the employees are awesome! Management however, that is a different story. Great place to grow your skills since this is a super fast paced company. What you would get in 2-3 years at another company, you get in 6-12 months with Western Dental. They offer professional development in terms of career growth; however, often times they just promote out of desperation because the turnover is so high. They serve all communities where they might not be able to get dental care otherwise. The company is growing which means more jobs.
Cons
Management is always in meetings to talk about upcoming meetings and hardly has time to actually assist or engage with their employees (typically just in passing or a rushed conversation). The office employees are worked like animals and offered below average pay to do twice the work. Turnover is astronomical. There is no method to the madness. The benefits SUCK! The medical is around $150 every paycheck just for the employee...so you can just imagine what it would be for a family. The dental premiums are free if you select the Western Dental plan but you have to pay for your services when you are in the office just like any other dental plan...you HAVE TO go to a Western Dental. There is no 401K match, only 1 week of vacation that is accrued the first 2 years of employment. They offer RDA exam reimbursement but make it so difficult to utilize the program...there is a selection process. They allow employees to preform certain functions that they are not certified to preform. Overall...this company has a long way to go to become employee friendly.
