I worked at Western Extrusions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work is straight forward. Long shift, but great days off. Boss works with you. For the most part. Great team, great pay.

    Cons

Employees don't comply. Get chewd on for something someone else did. Mornings are hover only for those who call it out first. The rest are stuck for night shift only.

    Advice to Management

Team Meetings. Hear everyone out. Listen before getting upset. Cause the story could be mixed up.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Western Extrusions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's very easy to get laid off if that's what you want. They will fire you for just about anything because their policies are way too strict.

    Cons

They treat employees like inmates. Probably because it's 90% illegal immigrants.

Stupid upper management makes horrible decisions about employee rules. I totally understand when a company makes a strict policy about something but what I saw went way beyond normal restrictions.

    BENEFITS
What a joke. The health insurance they give you is like those scam health insurance programs that pay practically nothing at all unless the bill is over $5,000 and then I think I was responsible for more than 30% after that if I remember right. The whole thing is geared around illegal immigrants.

    Advice to Management

Don't punish 99% of good employees for what the bad 1% do. Learn to apply heavy handed restrictions to the problem employees. You always have the right to fire someone without reason, so whatever lawyer told you that you must discipline people for every little thing, just so later you can document why you fired them is wrong.

Also, people purposely under perform and neglect things because of how you treated people. You're making your company less efficient you idiots.
