    Pros

WIT is growing while updating and improving its processes. All employees have the opportunity to advance their current skills and to acquire new ones. Management actively solicits input from employees to implement these new processes, is positive and responsive, and keeps everyone involved and informed. Cooperation, collaboration and communication among employees is encouraged and expected.

    Cons

Change is uncomfortable for the very few employees who choose to remain negative, uncooperative or unresponsive. Therefore they have trouble adapting and improving; and they require extra resources to make up for their self imposed deficiencies.

    Advice to Management

Keep growing and improving, while keeping employees engaged. You will, no doubt, attain the goal of "Best Place to Work."

    Pros

The people at WIT are great to work with and the company has some excellent projects and teams.

    Cons

Strategic changes at the company and growth pains are effecting morale and effectiveness of the team. There has been significant turnover in the management team. The quality of benefits have eroded.

    Pros

WIT is a great place to work. it is going through a lot of changes right now, but all for the better of the company and its future.
The people, the environment, and the pace is great.

    Cons

The benefits they offer are a bit expensive (medical anyway) and not necessarily the best. They do not offer vision either. Not saying it is bad but it could definitely be better for the price.

    Advice to Management

    Better overall communication is needed
    More Involvement from senior management

I worked at Western Integrated Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Really great sales staff. Lots of good people and fun conversations in the shop and around the office. A few good perks and programs to keep employees satisfied.

    Cons

Unrealistic sales goals set by upper management. Almost impossible bonus program and weak commission. Some of the middle management lacks communication and even professionalism; they can be rude and irresponsible at times. Too many people related to the owner, who use that relationship to further their personal agendas and disproportionately soak up the salary budget.

    Advice to Management

Plan better for ups and downs in the sales forecast. Work harder to keep good employees. Stop hiring relatives. Answer your emails.

    Pros

Management seems to really care about employees and helps employees advance to greatness. Fun annual activities like, "Take Your Dog to Work Day", annual branch "chili cook off", etc. Great benefits. Room to advance in company. Owners are very compassionate to all employees. Always growing and making positive changes to enhance employee engagement. Listens to staff idea's and suggestions. Flexible work schedules. Great Place to Work!

    Cons

I see no cons at this time.

I have been working at Western Integrated Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice benefits, good branch, good boss, and a good temporary jump-off point to improve engineering/technical skills. But that's about it. I'll be leaving as soon as I can find a better company to work for.

    Cons

This is not the place to consider for a permanent career. There isn't a lot of support for professional growth. We have to rely on Corporate for many things and the accounting people especially are very rude. Aren't we supposed to work together?

    Advice to Management

Take stock in your talented people and give them chances to grow. Outsource your Accounting to India.

    Pros

WIT takes care of their employees in many ways. They are supportive when time off is needed for family issues, they create opportunities for current employees to move up within the company, and they support new employees with great training options. They reward employees for hard work and they create a fun, family like atmosphere for their employees.

    Cons

This is a growing company. As such, there are growing pains involved. Things like sales territory and inventory sharing disputes could be handled better. Employee benefits could also be better.

    Advice to Management

Don't cheap out on benefits and set up a better system for integrating new companies.

    Pros

challenging, interesting, excellent opportunities to learn new things, coworkers mostly professional but also personable, growing and changing industry allows for new opportunities. It's an excellent team environment with everyone working hard.

    Cons

benefits are not great and very poor compared to larger companies, but this is increasingly common with smaller companies. Low-ball offers. Sales-oriented company is rough for engineers on issues like training and stress. Management a mix of those with good and those with very poor attitudes with some more interested in manufacturing blame than finding solutions.

    Advice to Management

Enforce existing sales policies. Improve pay and benefits, and fix employees notorious for anger and attitude problems. If you're going to hire inexperienced engineers, make training a priority.
