None! Construction of facilities are half assed. Drive old unsafe vehicles. Pay is mediocre. Micro-managed. Manager and supervisor only care about themselves. Would never work for western refining ever again.

There really are not any major cons that would be of concern to a potential employee. The company is fair.

I worked at Western Refining full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great parent company. Good people at the Tempe office. Benefits were ok.

    Cons

Giant's operations management team is what made the experience difficult. It all starts at the top and you are lucky if you fit into the clique. If they do not like you, it doesn't matter how great of an improvement you make.

    Advice to Management

Look at your management team. I think it is a problem when even recruiters wonder why people don't stay. Isolate Giant and you'll get a much lower rating because of your management team in Tempe.
