I have been working at Westgate Resorts full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Full Time and good pay. Sometimes(keyword; SOMETIMES) are willing to work with you on scheduling but you can NEVER have a weekend off

    Cons

The supervisors. The co workers. The treatment like you owe them your life and free time. The way they make you feel like your voice isn’t heard. They pretend to care and say they will fix it. They never do.

    Advice to Management

Fix the supervisor and inspector situation. No one should dread wanting to go to work everyday. No one should feel like they don’t have a voice. Nothing is ever good enough for all of them so please re train or do something to make this a better experience.

I worked at Westgate Resorts full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very in depth training. Gave a lot of help if needed. Great people and overall fun time working there. Good pay

    Cons

They favored the people who've been working there longer and didn't give new employees much of a chance.

    Advice to Management

Run down the line and give everyone a chance to take a tour instead of giving the same people tours multiple times a day when other people haven't gone out yet.

I have been working at Westgate Resorts for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good work. Good pay. Potential at gaining an abundant amount of experience. Wonderful training. Properties are usually beautiful.

    Cons

Doesn't live up to promises made to individual reps. Fails to promote based of qualities AND performance. Feels cliquey. Extremely political. One year No Compete clause. Hired as independent contractor but treated/worked like a low level full-time employee.

    Advice to Management

Don't promote just to fill gaps in positions. Pay attention to what's important to reps and how they are treated professionally AND personally. Be more leaders instead of bosses. Take responsibility for mistakes/actions/performance.

I have been working at Westgate Resorts part-time

    Pros

good pay covered parking Food provided for during breaks

    Cons

REQUIRED to greet guest with a script communication between departments is horrible as well as within everything is way overpriced constant guests complaints always overbooking Managers have favorites Managers don' play well with each other Many high seniority people so moving up takes time

    Advice to Management

Get your communication between departments straightened out and allow your employees to greet your guest with a genuine greeting instead of making everyone say the same thing. It sounds dumb and not everyone wants to be asked their name. The my pleasure stuff shouldn't be required either. There should be a real food place open 24hrs. An affordable place to eat something hot at night for the drunk people coming back.... Like when the Deli used to be open during graveyard. All employees who are allowed tips should be allowed a tip cup in front of their station.
