I worked at Weston Foods full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

A home office was a pro

    Cons

Weston Foods (I formerly worked in the Maplehurst BakeriesUSA arm of the company prior to reorganization) is an extremely arrogant, unorganized Company. If you are considering going to work here in any sort of sales management role, please think long and hard.

There is a very un-balanced approach to customers, as in they do not all matter to Weston. Your reputation will be tarnished if you are unlucky enough to be calling on customers outside of the top 10. Supply chain is a disaster, as is internal communication, so you will spend almost all of your time fighting fires, not selling. But believe me, you will be constantly beat up on for missing unrealistic sales goals you have no hope of reaching. You will receive no support from upper management. There is NO team at the place. Sink or swim is the motto and most people are thrown concrete blocks, not life preservers!

    Advice to Management

Completely overhaul your approach! Treat your employees as if you value them and you will see improved results! Realize that managers and salespeople in the USA are not idiots!

I have been working at Weston Foods full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They make great products and have many great employees.
The HQ offices were remodeled last year and are stylish and impressive.

    Cons

    There are no career opportunities.
    The communication is terrible.
They have grown too fast and the plants have had issues due to growth.
    New leadership.

    Advice to Management

This review is what I️ wish someone told me before accepting the role. Rebranding to mask brand image issues in the US when the true problems have not been fixed.
