    Pros

There are some really good people here and the working conditions are very good. Flexible working arrangements. Again some really smart and capable people.

    Cons

Some decisions are not in the best interest of Westpac and are often made because it is the easiest to manage.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Westpac Group full-time

    Pros

Good salary. Flexible working conditions. As with any large bank, there is bureaucracy and hierarchy to contend with when trying to get anything done. If you are resourceful it's a good place to work with opportunities for career progression available, subject to your reporting managers.

    Cons

Hierarchy can breed fear of failure, and a resulting reluctance to develop, nurture and promote from within.

    Advice to Management

Develop, nurture and promote from within. The messages promoted to the external market ("we are with all Australians") need to reside within the culture first.

    Pros

the environment is very good and healthy. Can grow very easily and progress if you are active and engaged with the work.

    Cons

A lot hinges on your relationship with the bank manager, so make sure that you maintain a strong and healthy relationship with the b manager.

    Advice to Management

Doesn't require much, can get a job with minimal sales experience. If you have no experience, think about getting a job at a call centre or other no experience required jobs.
