Leadership never commits to a plan, changes like the weather rather than address issues. Toxic mix of pettiness and incompetence observed.

    Pros

They usual only have you work 4 days per week. They offer decent benefits.

    Cons

Military environment. They are tallying up every tardy, every absense, every time they see you with your phone out, every time you get behind. A select few will get favortism by management and they will become management. Bosses are using their power to get married entry level women to provide improper favors. Sickening envirnment.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

They value people that do work hard and provide catered meal for special events throughout the year. Some upper management take time to listen to concerns.

    Cons

Lack of communication with upper management. No direction for resolving issues. There is a real problem with senior leadership allowing there to be conflict from shift to shift. Leadership doesn't try to get everyone working together, but continues to let one shift blame the last one.

    Pros

There are many opportunities for young professionals to move up and around. Corporate headquarter locates in a nice, convenient and friendly community.

    Cons

Too many leaders and too fewer workers. Limited career paths for employees with technical skills or intend to develop technical skills in their fields.

    Advice to Management

Make sure jobs of all levels are measurable and accountable. Reduce waste requires leadership with true industry knowledge and organization experience.

    Pros

Good Work Life Balance, Work can be rewarding.

    Cons

People are routinely placed in roles for promotions and all employees may not have an opportunity to apply.

    Advice to Management

When you single out employees based for advancement based only on the color or their skin or gender, it makes make everyone feel excluded. To make people feel included, opportunities should not be presented behind closed doors and be open to everyone based on individual success.

    Pros

Opportunity to grow your knowledge outside the immediate job scope

    Cons

Poor processes throughout all areas, constantly "re-inventing the wheel" due to high turn-over, do not care about retaining talent. Salaries way below market level at all bands. Expected to work long hours as a norm.

    Advice to Management

Too much emphasis on delivering the month with no clear long term strategy.

I worked at Whirlpool Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good salary compared to industry norm.
    Excellent 401K Match.
Employee Discount program for buying at ~30% Discount.

    Cons

Re-organization in 2016 showed poor direction and planning.
Years of knowledge and experience are not valued. Company prefers to bring in employees from other countries over developing and promoting employees from USA.
Large company, that is divided into many separate divisions. Progress is very slow moving and difficult due to the different priorities of the divisions.

    Advice to Management

Company is struggling to succeed due to poor planning and poor resource management. The latest re-organization is a step in the wrong direction, and the company will continue to struggle because of it. The environment at which the company operates in is not healthy. Reward hard work and dedication by employees, and do not under-estimate the value of years of knowledge and experience.

    Learning and development opportunities
Large size and scale makes your work have large impact
Mature processes with meaningful continuous improvement

    Cons

Very Strong Focus on individual accountability combined with a force curve performance rating system = internal conflict that creates inefficiencies, stressful work environment, inconsistent performance rewards
Highly competitive and fast paced consumer product

    Advice to Management

It is not clear if employees are a valued as long term partners or a renewable resource
