    Pros

Worked with Whitaker Medical for 6 years. Made great money, the Austin manager has integrity.

    Cons

NO opportunity for a management or leadership position.

I worked at Whitaker Medical full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company does provide a good base salary.
Generally, the people there are pretty nice.

    Cons

With regard to who gets which accounts, the politics can get a little messy. Some of the veterans can be a little pushy to get their way.

I worked at Whitaker Medical full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

All coworkers were great to work with minus management.

    Cons

Ask people to take a pay cut when they start making money, high turnover, extremely micro managed, management is just a placeholder, if you ask them a question they say "I dont know but i will find out". Austin office is closing.

    Advice to Management

Get it together and actually train employees.

I have been working at Whitaker Medical full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

AMAZING upper management. Jason (the VP) and Brian are the most caring people... they really want you to succeed. They are awesome about continuous training.

    Cons

With sales, the pay is low. AT FIRST. You need to work a year or so before making good money. Be patient, it does happen for many people. BUT they find many ways to compensate you, like extra time off for hitting your metrics, holiday parties, etc. Many great perks. I had to leave because I was a single new-grad living alone that needed a higher income. I MISS IT SO MUCH

    Advice to Management

Honestly, y'all are great. I don't have many complaints.

I worked at Whitaker Medical full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I truly truly enjoyed my time at Whitaker Medical, I've ranked it number 1 best employer. The people are great, literally one big happy family! The management is very personable and will stop what they are doing in a heart beat to chit chat about what ever is a concern for you. The atmosphere and work environment is positive, and the company is always finding ways to keep you motivated and excited to be at work everyday!

    Cons

If there were more growth opportunities, I'm pretty sure I would have retired with this company.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work - don't ever forget the Whitaker way.

I have been working at Whitaker Medical full-time

    Pros

Overall a good place to work.

    Cons

There has been a decline in morale due to the recent merger with VISTA. Their "corporate" and public standing have overtaken the "family" environment.

    Advice to Management

Cannot trust the conversations you have with Management will not be gossiped among your colleagues. Keep your opinions to yourself. You may find yourself in a position where your VP has an attitude about you because you were open and honest with your direct supervisor. Whitaker management is immature and has a "frat boy" mentality.

I worked at Whitaker Medical full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone was always willing to help get you started and offer tips based on their experience. Not much drama in the office.

    Cons

As a recruiter, this job is cold calls all day. They expect you to make 100 a day into hospitals and doctors offices which I found very stressful.

    Advice to Management

More call camps to help new recruiters learn better cold call techniques.
