Poised for growth!

Super engaged senior leadership. They realize the challenges of not just the organization, but what the people who make up the organization have gone thru. There is a clear plan in place and the parts and pieces are coming together to make it a reality. There are really smart people here and they work together really well. You can literally see the learning and growth and how the company is adapting to a changing landscape. It's fun being a part of the office!
Cons
Great place if you are willing to be adaptive. The changes are well understood and the team is working hard at moving the right direction. I wouldn't say this is a con at all, unless you are the type of person who wants to do the same thing everyday.

Pros
Great culture that mixes ambitious goals with a realistic supportive workplace. Great team and a sense of mission. It's a small enough company that I have gotten to be involved in other areas of the business than what I was initially hired for. I like variety and this has been a key to my enjoyment.
Cons
Company is still implementing systems and structures. As an organization it fights the possibility of being staid and bureacratic...so we are still trying to find that balance between clear structure and yet remain loose and creative enough to really generate great services and profits.

WhitePages.com: the best keep secret in Seattle
Jun 10, 2008 - Director in Seattle, WARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
WhitePages is still a small enough company where employees truly can make a difference. There are a ton of interesting problems to solve everyday. It is a definitely a work hard and play hard place. The company has been profitable from day one so there is not a fear of walking in one day finding that the company has run out of money. Finally, it is located in downtown Seattle which puts you right in the heart of things.
Cons
Sometimes things don't get done as fast as management would like.

Whitepages hires the best people. Not only from a technical capabilities standpoint but people who are enjoyable to be around. Small teams give give everyone the opportunity to follow through on our corporate values of owning projects and seeing them through. Just a great place to show up to work every day.
Cons
Small focused teams don't always allow for unstructured time and side projects.
