I worked at Whole Foods Market full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

At the time is was amazing; paid benefits, 401k contributions, discount on goods, HSA, but by far the team members would have to have been their biggest asset. This all turned sour as many money hungry corporate douches joined up to belittle the hardest working most dedicated members.

    Cons

too much nepotism. Too much unregulated intimidation. A reduction in benefits every opportunity they had to institute a cut and then they started putting the choice in the team members hands like it made it better. Often heard, "let them have a taste of that humble pie" coming from the least humble in the organization.

    Advice to Management

You only did well because your employees felt compensated and appreciated. Look at the state of your institution now. I know it means little to you all with your golden parachutes but it is a shame to take advantage of so many good hearted and dedicated people.

I worked at Whole Foods Market full-time

    Pros

Nice benefits including 20% discount card. Very diverse culture. Pretty good starting pays compared to other retail businesses.

    Cons

Some positions are paid too much and some not enough. Lack of accountability is hurting the company. Company seems to steer more into mainstream grocery store.
