I worked at Wieden+Kennedy full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

You'll meet some of the greatest people. It has a nice feel of life when you first get there. There are a lot of perks. Unlimited PTO. People respect the name. Room to move up after you've been there for a while.

      Cons

They don't pay equally. Men make more across the board. This is a place that hires diversity but lacks retention. They have one creative pipeline. Basically go to brandcenter and you're guaranteed a job. There was a racist attack within the agency towards a black employee and the company did nothing. All good people leave. Upper management is bad. Women don't get paid equally. The pay in general is laughable.

      Advice to Management

Give everyone a chance. Be honorable. Pay women equally. Work on your diversity issues. Upper management needs work.

I worked at Wieden+Kennedy full-time for more than 3 years

          Pros

-Wonderful people, warm environment, some of the closest friendships I've ever had. -Really interesting work opportunities, great brands to work on (some duds, but y'know.) -kid friendly, dog friendly, generally speaking work/life balance is pretty good if you're high enough on the totem pole and it isn't super bowl season.

          Cons

-salaries are on the lower end of the spectrum -there isn't much growth for low-level employees since the higher level positions aren't going anywhere. A testament to the quality of life at the company, but not good if you're getting started. -mentorship isn't common, and the daily workflow doesn't leave much room for it. -they tend to hire upper-level people from outside (or freelancers), instead of promoting from...

          Pros

Creative, Relaxed professional environment. Warm and Supportive team culture. Amazing Perks and Benefits. Freedom to self-direct.

          Cons

"Work Comes First" culture often leads to "Burn-n-Turn". Lower level positions have little room for growth since upper roles stay filled or hire outside of agency.
