    I worked at Wild Flavors

    Pros

Lots of advancement opportunities. Congenial work culture, and employees were appreciated. Individuals could be creative and contribute. The company cared about employees, customers, continuous improvement, quality and safety. Money available for capital projects and equipment.

    Cons

As the company grew, it became much more corporate. After ADM bought WILD Flavors, the financial pressures were even more important, since the company is responsible to shareholders. Jobs were cut and consolidated at other locations. People who had offices were moved to cubicles.

    Advice to Management

You need good science behind your flavors, concepts and prototypes. Fancy PowerPoints, graphs and marketing won't sustain the business if there isn't substance and objective research.

I worked at Wild Flavors full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits for employees.

    Cons

Lack of continuity between departments (each department head manages their team on their own whims).

    Advice to Management

If the employees do not respect a senior person, find out why.

I worked at Wild Flavors full-time

          Pros

          Pays well, that's about it

          Cons

ADM injected their talentless, unfireable staff into WILD and everything has gone completely downhill. All the culture disappeared, having previously been a family owned business, and now all they care about are top line sales and answering to the investors.

          Advice to Management

Learn to reprimand management rather than just shuffling them around to a new job when they mess up their current role
