    Pros

Company is a multi-dimensional facility with two major business models one with engineered product line in engineered applications high mix low volume, the other is one with high volume low mix and a industrial leader (AODD). Management has respect for its associates and tries to create career path for all so they have a skill set that can be applied in other markets. Plan is to grow the people and pull product up with them.

    Cons

Not being able to please everyone, there are some who are pre-Madonna's so they get opportunity elsewhere, team players only need apply, corporate influence doesn't realized true cause and affect

    Advice to Management

Stay true to course and disregard resentment from former employees who are disgruntled and haven't found a true north. Most biased comes from ignorance.

I have been working at Wilden Pump & Engineering full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are a handful of employees that care about the place (maybe 10%). Paychecks. That about it. There is much good things to say.

    Cons

Inappropriate relationship with upper management. Alot of favoritism, have to be related or in a club with people to get promoted or you literally have to kiss rear ends none stop. Have witnessed supervisors and managers tell employees, "if you don't like it there's the door!" The best way to get info is though the rumors that go on daily. There is no accountability from the top down. Corporate does not care about the employees proof of that is they have stripped us of any monetary awards, bonuses have gotten worse, never a cost of living increase, raises have decreased. Just so they can line there pockets with more money. Constantly changing but never finishing anything. Employees having to take on multiple roles and not being compensated.

    Advice to Management

If management actually cared about the employees they need to show and prove it. Not just in one ear and out the other. Dont push so much on to the employees without adequate compensation. Bring back the family/team dynamic. If you cant get out there and work side by side with your employees then you obviously should not be telling people what to do. Its the employees that do the work not you, so stop taking credit for there work and there ideas.

    Pros

Family-like atmosphere, a grow from within place where hard work translates into success and promotion.

    Cons

Work can take over your personal life if you let it. Corporate culture from Dover is eroding what made Wilden great

    Advice to Management

Management needs to strike a good balance between keeping up with It's parent companies demand for change and maintaining the positive company culture Wilden was founded on.

    Pros

Company striving towards world class behavior in all departments. Growth in that area is good. Parent Corporation, Dover, supports growth.

    Cons

Parent Corporation expects growth to support high growth, when growth is not as expected, layoffs ensue. Engineering department is used to run Projects and drive all other departments to stay on schedule to the point that time to design product is small.

    Advice to Management

Get at least 1 Manufacturing Engineer in each sub-company's (Wilden, Maag, Griswold) mfg cell to support mfg cell's daily functions and growth, rather than making Product Engineers do manufacturing engineering as well.

    Cons

Too much to do with too few resources. Turnover in sales is High. The human Resources department is overwhelmed to the point that it affects the morale of the company.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    Secure a long term job.

    Cons

Company wide reviews yearly resulting in a 2% to 3% raise.

    Advice to Management

Have a yearly cost of living adjustment- otherwise your "raise" is meaningless.
