I have been working at Wilderness Resort full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wild Rock Golf Club is one of Wisconsin's premier courses and doubles as a wedding venue. It always has something going on and the people (both guests and employees) are top notch. The pay for bartenders, beverage cart girls, and servers is higher than surrounding businesses and resorts and the tips are rarely less than 20%.

    Cons

With it being in the Dells, the summers are always super busy but immediately after Labor Day everything slows to a halt. While you can make a significant amount of cash in the summer, you will most likely have to pick up a second job for the remainder of the year.

I have been working at Wilderness Resort full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people you work with are very nice. I just wish more was taken into consideration for what is expected.

    Cons

Underpaid for being in charge of the entire hotel. You would think for such a large company they'd give more than 11.50 and hour for someone to run it.

    Advice to Management

When someone takes a new position, follow up with them and let them know where they are doing well and where they can improve. Let them know they've been an asset.

I worked at Wilderness Resort full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Wilderness has great management. Everyone is very kind and understanding, and really take the time to get to know you. The pay is decent, and the job is fairly easy to learn.

    Cons

The downsides of the wilderness are that although the pay isn't terrible, it is very difficult to get a raise. You also have very little freedom to make decision yourself.

I worked at Wilderness Resort full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Did a lot of moving stacks kart's around to diff., part's of the building as well as setting up/ taring down a lot of room's, which is the type of work that I enjoy doing. I had a lot of fun and met a lot of interesting individual's.

    Cons

The type of hour's that where giving and the fact that I only got three to four hour's of sleep a night on the weekend's when I worked there. I only worked their part-time and also worked at another job full-time which made it very difficult to function when working at the Wilderness Resort and the fact that there wasn't a full-time position available for me when I worked there at the time.
