I have been working at Wilderness Resort full-time

    Pros

great scheduling awesome supervisors easy going, within reason

    Cons

Management is non consistent Average "Dells" pay

    Advice to Management

make all policies mandatory and written down. If (A) takes place, (B) will be the result. Don't have one MOD say Evict and others say "it's ok"

I worked at Wilderness Resort part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good pay, 6 month reviews, friendly staff, meet students from all over the world, help save lives

    Cons

Favoritism can be an issue with supervisors and management, supervisor/management pay is barely any different than that of lifeguards making those in higher positions feel less worthy

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Wilderness Resort full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Wild Rock Golf Club is one of Wisconsin's premier courses and doubles as a wedding venue. It always has something going on and the people (both guests and employees) are top notch. The pay for bartenders, beverage cart girls, and servers is higher than surrounding businesses and resorts and the tips are rarely less than 20%.

    Cons

With it being in the Dells, the summers are always super busy but immediately after Labor Day everything slows to a halt. While you can make a significant amount of cash in the summer, you will most likely have to pick up a second job for the remainder of the year.

I worked at Wilderness Resort full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The Wilderness has great management. Everyone is very kind and understanding, and really take the time to get to know you. The pay is decent, and the job is fairly easy to learn.

    Cons

The downsides of the wilderness are that although the pay isn't terrible, it is very difficult to get a raise. You also have very little freedom to make decision yourself.
