I have been working at Wildwood Programs full-time

    Pros

This job is a job that fills the soul. You can learn a lot about yourself working here and grow as a person in many ways. The people you work with and the administration are all wonderful. The job also has great benefits.

    Cons

The job does not pay much and can be very difficult at times. The classrooms can sometimes be understaffed, making the work very difficult.

    Advice to Management

Hire more assistant teachers and pay them more. Do more training with the new employees to help them work better with behavioral difficulties the students have.

    Pros

Helping individuals become independent in their life/community

    Cons

Large turn over of staff, low pay, new workers are not felt welcomed or included- especially if you are part time. Contacting HR is near impossible. Job postings are misleading, training is hurried and could be just as easily accomplished online for what its worth.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better,--make them feel like a part of your organization. Increase the pay--pay rate is low for comparable positions at other non profits.

    Pros

Regular school schedule, paid sick/vacation/personal days. Good experience for special education.

Company will hire literally anyone, even individuals who do not work best in the environment. High turnover.

    Advice to Management

Hire more competent people, then you'll keep the good ones longer.

    Pros

Good benefits, most other staff are good people with whom to work.

I have been working at Wildwood Programs full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

working in the field I like

    Cons

Company favoritism, hire people with no background in the field because they quickly get through the system, not professional, and getting med. cert is a joke, the company does take care of it's consumer's, just as long as they are involved in Wildwood.

    Advice to Management

no advice could save this company.

    Pros

Faimly freindly, Great paying relative to the field

    Cons

Same problem as any other company in the field, a little to relaxed and not a very policy oriented company

    Advice to Management

Develop your upper management a little more before you let them run a house
