    Pros

Great Brands and Simon Hunt is a fair and honest leader.

    Cons

Very cliquey and toxic due to NYC management team. These are people with power that has gone to their heads and made them out of touch with the majority of their employees. Want to succeed? Succumb to the clique and become part of those who have nothing to do but spread rumors and choose thier next victim. Horrible new hires with little experience come and go. At least 100 in the past 5 years like a revolving door have left this place.

I worked at William Grant & Sons

    Pros

Great products, generous product allowance, great company events, typically get full bonus

    Cons

Operations is the abused child of the org. Commercial will blame Every problem on operations and ops leadership will act like a punching bag and take it. Ops leaders talk a good game, but little action. You WILL be expected to do the work of two people, with no additional comp. and don’t complain about it or you will be out. Leaders will give the right platitudes but it’s more talk. They don’t care, just work harder. People leave crying at the end of the day during Q4 because they are driven so hard and told they aren’t doing enough. There’s a reason there are few long term employees here. US is run by 3 people, 2 in NY, 1 in Florida. What they say goes, cross them at your own risk. Ops leadership in NJ is weak and cow toes to what NY and Scotland want.

    Pros

    Great brands and liquid.

    Cons

Leaders are unfortunately only concerned about their political gains and not their people. HR turns their heads to all advise.

I worked at William Grant & Sons full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great brands, very hands on experience, and a lot of opportunities to make connections within the industry and even great incentive trips.

    Cons

Compensation is not worth the amount of work you put in. Very political and cliquey and if you aren’t in the right group, you feel it. Some departments are very old school. Needs to be better about giving employees work-life balance.

I have been working at William Grant & Sons full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

International spirits company with spectacular portfolio of brands

    Cons

The family atmosphere and company culture was once a huge draw to the company. Now the culture is going by the wayside as the company cares more about driving more profit. Nothing else seems to matter.
