I worked at Williams full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was interesting work, when, you were allowed to do it in professional manner.

    Cons

    1. Many of us came to Williams from an acquisition. Mostly, we did not feel welcome. I worked with various districts in the U.S. and the Williams people felt like we were trying to take over. 2. Wms has too many "systems", that are not effective and not efficient. It seemed like if they could find an overly involved and difficult way of making decisions and doing things, that is the way they would mandate that it would be done.

    Advice to Management

Don't have so much corporate arrogance - so many other companies, while struggling themselves, are able to make decisions timely and effectively.

I have been working at Williams full-time

    Pros

    Great Benefits! Average Pay.

    Cons

Favoritism in every department. No longer cares about their employees. This company only cares about showing a profit. Employees are just numbers. Numerous office closures and layoffs.

    Advice to Management

Reward your employees for hard work.

I have been working at Williams full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great people and flexibility

    Cons

The restructuring has taken a toll on everyone. Attitudes have changed. 9/80 schedule was taken away for no reason, now working a ton of hours with little balance.

    Advice to Management

The 9/80 were greatly appreciated and encouraged everyone to want to work more simply because we appreciated the perk. Would be nice to have back.

I worked at Williams full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Stable job and good benefits and lots of free Williams chatchka and decent money alotted for work boots.

    Cons

Poor safety record. The area I was working in had very little growth and was neglected. Once Williams took over no one was ever able to provide me with a promotiom matrix. During the downturn I was given a two person job and told not to have OT. Once things started to get better & I felt that I had done a good job at keeping costs low & still doing my job, I thought a promotion would be close and I asked several times only to be brushed aside while I watched others promoted. I wish this company luck and I appreciate the experience I obtained, but I don't stick around in jobs where my hard work is unappreciated and taken for granted.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to take care of your good employees unless you enjoy high turnover.
