    Honest Review

Sep 21, 2021 - Retail Associate Manager in East Rochester, NY

    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

The employee discount was pretty good. The associates were hard workers and invested in the business. Corporate eventually would weed out the bad District Management, although, it usually took time and could be a painful process.

    Cons

Way too much pressure reaching corporate metrics. The pressure to open store credit cards is ridiculous. The amount of conference calls is obscene. Hours cut because of slow business so we are operating with two people and one of us has to leave the floor to get on a call to talk about why we haven’t opened a credit card. Expectations are staggering with the amount of staff you are provided. Whenever there is a corporate visit everyone works like animals to beautify the store for the illusion that this is how it always is. The low raises are usually insulting.

Typical sales job, but in a great store

    Jul 27, 2021 - Retail Sales Associate

    Pros

Great discounts, fun products, and you can learn a lot about products if cooking/baking interest you.

    Cons

Always pushing employees to open credit cards, management is everything (a good manager is great, but bad ones can make you miserable), and clean up can be a grind with loads of dishes at the end of a day.

    Pros

Great pay, great working environment, easy to move up from regular associate to lead then you have senior lead then SUP.

    Cons

Hard to sometimes get time off depending on what area you work in. I went from sales to furniture then retail support.
